Cette saison, l’Alliance française de Toronto fait la part belle à la musique du monde, en partenariat avec la Batuki Music Society :

• Le 5 février 2016, Hampaté et Sahel Blues interprétera un florilège de musique sénégalaise
• Le 19 mars 2016, Hassan el Hadi vous fera découvrir le Shaabi marocain
• Enfin le 23 avril 2016, Trinity Mpho nous plongera dans la musique traditionnelle du Botswana

Mais c’est tout d’abord le chanteur, guitariste et auteur-compositeur Donné Roberts que l’Alliance française de Toronto accueillera sur sa scène, le vendredi 2 octobre 2015.

Cet artiste nous fera découvrir le blues de Madagascar, ajoutant ainsi sa contribution à notre thème Cultures sans frontières.

Né à Madagascar, Donné Roberts grandi à Moscou et vit désormais à Toronto. Ses albums «  Rythm Was Born » et « Internation » font sa renommée et sa contribution à l’African Guitar Summit project lui vaut un JUNO Awards en 2005 et une nomination en 2007. Site Internet : http://www.donneroberts.com/

Donné Roberts Concert

This season, Alliance Française Toronto puts the emphasis on world music, in partnership with Batuki Music Society:

• February 5, 2016, Hampaté & Sahel Blues will interpret an anthology of Senegalese music
• March 19, 2016, Hassan el Hadi will introduce you to Moroccan Shaabi
• Finally on April 23, 2016, with Trinity Mpho we will immerse ourselves into Setswana traditional music

But first, on Friday October 2, 2015, Alliance Française Toronto will have on its stage the singer, guitarist and songwriter Donné Robert.

This artist will share with us the Malagasy Blues, thus contributing to our Cultures without Borders thematic.

Born in Madagascar, Donné Roberts grew up in Moscow and now lives in Toronto. His albums “Rhythm Was Born” and “Internation” made his recognition, and he won a Juno in 2005, as part of the African Guitar Summit project. Website: http://www.donneroberts.com/
